IIDA has teamed up with Metropolis to bring the fifth annual Smart Environments Awards™ for 2010. This is a call for all sustainable minded designers and architects who are inconsummate professionals in the industry. The tagline for the Smart project is sustainable, accessible, and beautiful.

Who: You must be an Interior Design or Architecture professional (or member of a team) practicing legally in your jurisdiction who has completed a Smart project.  Projects must have been completed after April 2009 or not previously published. All types of interiors are eligible and there are no square footage requirements. LEED certification is not required.

When: Request an Entry Kit by September 23, 2010. Submit completed entries by October 6, 2010.

Why: A SMART project is one that is leading edge in development while minimally impacting the environment. The results of the Smart Environments Awards™ will be announced during the USGBC Greenbuild Expo. Selected winners may be invited to present their work. Also, winning projects will be considered for publication in Metropolis and on its website.

How: To purchase an Entry Kit for the 2010 Smart Environments Awards, submit a request for entry form to Monica DeAngelis. An entry kit will be emailed to you when your payment is processed.
