Vinegar can be used in hundreds of ways around the house. Here are just a few ways you can put vinegar to work for you.
Deodorize Your Garbage Disposal
Get funky smells and buildup out of your garbage disposal by pouring in 1 cup of baking soda, followed by 1 cup of hot white distilled vinegar. Allow it to sit for 5-10 minutes, then run hot water through the disposal. The same method can be used to clean and deodorize any drain.
Get Rid Lime Buildup
Get rid of lime deposits on chrome bathroom/kitchen faucets and fixtures by mixing 2 tablespoons of table salt and 1 teaspoon of white distilled vinegar. Apply the paste and let it set for 1 hour before rinsing. For tough lime and mineral deposits, scrub with an old toothbrush before rinsing.
Remove a Price Tag
Get that sticky price tag or label off by covering with a cloth that has been soaked in white distilled vinegar. Leave the rag overnight and the sticky tag will slide off easily in the morning.
Clean Pet Stains
Blot the affected area first and then spray with a solution of equal parts white distilled vinegar and water. Blot with a clean rag until nearly dry. Sprinkle with baking soda and let dry overnight. Vacuum away the residue in the morning.
