I recently posted a review of an eco-friendly laundry detergent, Vaska herbatergent. In said review, I noted that I liked the detergent as much as my regular favorite, Biokleen detergent, but that the cons were no animal testing policy, low availability, and no powder (which could help cut down on packaging).

UPDATE:
I heard back from a couple of Vaska company reps who noted the following…

“I would like to assure you that we do NOT do any animal testing. I have submitted our application to Leaping Bunny and will see it through.
We are also going to state our animal testing policy [...]

Yesterday morning, the Hefer intersection along the old coastal road of Route 4 in Israel was the place where a piezoelectric generator was put to the test and generated some 2,000 watt-hours of electricity. The setup consists of a ten-meter strip of asphalt, with generators lying underneath, and batteries in the road’s proximity.
