In the last post I offered a review of Tarte Cosmetics, spring greening limited-edition reusable straw palette. I loved the set, and while we’re on the topic, thought it might be nice to highlight some eco-friendly Tarte products that would make nice Mother’s Day gifts (Mama’s day is soon ya’ll – May 10th).

I LOVE their lipglosses so first of all I’d suggest the purse your lips limited-edition super fruit lipgloss clutch – in fact, if you see my son, I think you should tip him off, because I would love this as a mama day gift. I don’t love the gold clutch, but the 9 deluxe lipglosses in brand new, limited edition shades, found inside the clutch, are to die for. Also, something I’d like to point out is that these glosses are super tiny – they fit right in your jeans (tight jeans) pocket and you don’t even notice it’s there! Love it.

be good to your mother (earth) 24.7 natural lip sheers and reusable natural cotton tote set – this is such a nice mama day gift. This set includes a really cute reusable natural cotton tote and the 24/7 lip sheers with SPF 15 are not only healthy for your lips, but are wrapped in post-consumer recycled aluminum.

The new a perfect whirled limited-edition natural swirl cheek stain would make a nice gift; maybe packed up with some other goodies. I haven’t tried their cheek stains, but if their other products are any indication, I’m betting the cheek stains are subtle, natural looking, and rock overall.

Lastly, a set of products is always a good bet. I tried and liked their spring greening limited-edition reusable straw palette but another nice set might be the ready-to-wear/pret-a-porter limited-edition dual look palette: i love new york and paris, mon amour. This set (seen above) comes with a color pallet inspired by fashion week in New York and Paris, including eyeshadow, lipstick and blush. The downside is that this set is less green and less natural than some of their other items, but still has some eco-aspects like some natural ingredients, GMO free, and eco packaging.
