It is going to be early lessons on alternative energy for those kids who go to the German American School which is located in Portland. See, this school will be having a renewable energy project right there. So everyday that the kids go to school, they will be told of just what they can get from this kind of energy source.

Thanks to the group SolarWorld, the German American School has received 45 solar modules which actually has the capacity to product 175 watts. All of these have been donated by the mentioned group. This number of solar modules could actually help give power to three houses. That is the statistics given by Elaina Medina who is the spokesperson for the Portland General Electric.

Thor Hinckley is the manager of PGE’s renewable power program and on this, he said, “The way the project is structured, the solar panels on the south side of the school are very visible to students in the playground. The school also intends to have a kiosk available for public viewing that shows people how much energy it’s generating.”
