Starting Monday, the residents of Corby in the United Kingdom would now be able to place any glass they want to throw away in the brown bins. After all, it has been a year since the time when people have had trouble where to throw away their glass waste because when there had been a change in the recycling scheme, there had been no place for all that glass.
“I have only just taken some glass for recycling down to the Hazel Tree pub car park. It’s important to recycle. I was recycling long before we had the yellow boxes when I used the recycling facilities at Asda,” shares Irene Prentice who is one of the happy residents of Corby when she learned of the brown bins being implemented for glass trash.
“This is great news for Corby residents who already do a fantastic job with recycling, as not only can they now recycle glass in their brown bin but also extra plastics as well,” exclaims Councilor David Harley who is the head for Corby’s council on the environment.
